I graduated last year and I have about 2 years of solid SDE/Data Engineering experience. I consider myself an average programmer but I want to get better. Is Palantir a good company to grow at? Do they have a strong mentorship/pair programming culture? I was recently contacted by a recruiter from Palantir and they’re interested in interviewing me. What are my chances of getting in if I barely just missed the mark after a final round at Google? (This was in October, so I’ve gotten slightly better since then)
Palantir’s hiring bar is still pretty high (not as in LC Hard x5 high, but in an intricate way). If the recruiter mentioned Gotham, may I ask if you’re a US citizen to qualify for clearance?
Just worry about passing first. Pretty high bar
Let me guess, forward deployed?
Not sure what that means, they’re looking for engineers for their Gotham product.
Forward deployed software engineer. It’s a role that palantir is notorious for hiring. It’s a hybrid of consulting and swe, so you’ll have to travel to client locations and onboard them onto the product. Lots of onsite programming, often grunt work involved too. It’s not a bad role, but it’s super client facing and if that appeals to you then go for it.
