Most companies report pay equality b/w the genders, but why don’t they report pay equality b/w say citizens and visa holders? There are rumors that visa holders are way underpaid; a report would help dispel those rumors.

Source 2: our comp team determines salary and they only ask for the role as input. They have zero access to immigration information, which only comes much later in the process (eg I’ve seen us discover we need to do some visa work later on - well after offer accepted)
Also, it makes little sense to do something like that (both to differentiate or pay different). Companies that would do so probably don’t pay fair among genders already and don’t report fair pay. And they’re probably small companies where saving a couple grand here or there seems it worth the evetual losing of the people, once they find out (people talk about their salaries. Did I mention I’m a manager? It’s something you learn early on)
Also, there would be a lot less H1-B visas utilized.
