PayPal - Is it easy to move around to other teams as a PM?

Got an offer from PayPal for a Senior PM role. TC - 275k 6 years of PM experience I like PayPal but not sure about the role. Hiring manager said it’s easy to move to other teams after a while. Is this true? Is there a formal process to move to other teams?

TC breakdown?

In order to move you need to stay a year within a team

You will be so lazy after an year to switch teams. LoL! Run while you can sir/madam.

Team change process is very different among different orgs. If you have already been working closely with a peer team and personally know the hiring manager then it's more of just an informal discussion with may be an interview. But if you are venturing out into some completely different team/org and do not have a working relationship with the manager, then there can be series of formal interviews (4/5). I can vouch this for engineering roles and assume it to be similar for PM. Product folks can add more details if anything is specifically different there.

Yes, it’s possible to move to different teams. Moves typically should be promoted by managers in the interest of supporting employees growth; however some managers (at all levels) does not understand the importance of allowing people to move and can be upset as you may be leaving his/her team. But if your manager is open for allowing internal movement then you should consider it.
