PayPal or Amazon ?
I have offer from paypal for full stack engineer position(SE3) and from amazon for front end engineer I position, its AWS team based in seattle. Let me know your thoughts. Paypal TC is close to 190k including everything. Amazon yet to receive numbers.

What's your break up for Paypal TC?Although 190k seems about right. I suggest to continue interviewing and try to get into a better company, since folks here seem to mention that FE at amz is not that great.

Please share the breakup of 190. SD3 is a good place to start. Merchant org offers good growth compared to FE at Amazon.
FEE1 is equivalent to SDE1 which means you're probably looking at 150-160k TC if the offer is in Seattle. I would take PayPal in this case unless Amazon can give you a FEE2 offer.

Amazon culture is the worst. I’m surprised how people still consider them. That’s probably why they have to throw a bunch of money at you. Besides that Bay Area > Seattle.
Amazon can match or beat this. But in Amazon, front end engineer are treated as secondary citizen.

Agree to this. I started as FE enginner in AWS and then moved to BE because of very little support from management. Management has very narrow attitude towards FE engineers. For example someone asked ‘why is it taking 1 month, how hard is it to add a button and do css changes.’
