Management sucks, cheap and greedy... this year our stock has grown, so they blocked all salary hikes and rsu refreshers... no subsidized food, no gifts etc it’s not PayPal which we used to have 5 years back

Part of both, but since the stock has shot up so much, it been messed up. They have no clear vision on what to do next !

I know it’s team specific but overall there is no much invocation in Paypal . And everything is laid back and politics. I would agree only the PayPal API or site side teams do cool stuff but all other teams are full of old people and politics.

What can one expect with 8 yoe?

Shoot for 100k in initial RSU or more. The yearly RSU dump is relatively meager and your TC will actually decrease years 3+ on.
