Cleared the interview for Security Researcher II. Got the initial offer of base 127k-135k + stocks and signing bonus. This is just the initial figure that the recruiter hinted at. I am still trying to research more on this payscale but currently i feel this is a low offer. Thoughts? Current base pay - 147k No stock options.
Seattle but i will be asking if they are okay with remote in SanFrancisco. Thats a discussion i will have directly with the hiring manager so havent brought it up yet with the recruiter.
Whats the stock and signing bonus, and what does a sec researcher 2 do?
Stock options 30k-70k and cash 20k-35k. Based on the profile its more towards malware research and building solutions towards detection and improving the protection capabilities, threat hunting, collab with other researchers on publishing facts about new threats.
I dont have a lot of details Bout the different job profiles in msoft but this is based on what i saw getting into this profile and interacting with the folks at msoft.
Best guess this is a 63, so low end of the SR band, how many YOE do you have
8 years in security. Whats a 63?im new on this forum sorry. Any thoughts on negotiation? I was about put a range of upwarda of 155k and then see where it goes. Is that too high?
With 8 YEO, lower senior 63, I'd expect 150+ base with 100+ bonuses(stock+cash)
Thanks for your thoughts on this. Ill put 155k on the table and see how it goes.
I think a salary around 150k is reasonable, which means probably around 15k cash bonus and 15k stock in a avg year
