Hello all how strict is the 12 month rule to change teams at Facebook? also once you get past the 12 month mark do you really need to tell your manager? At amazon, people sneak behind their managers backs and find jobs and update once the job is confirmed. is Facebook similar? I just joined Facebook and seriously dislike many things about this role. No WLB, highly operational etc. but considering waiting for full 12 months before moving

I switched teams <1y and it was an ordeal, starting with me first submitting resignation notice to my manager and then having meetings with manager and skip where they said theyโd support team change. So I found a team.
The next hurdle is even harder particularly if youโre changing orgs: it will just be blocked by HRBP. I had to get directors in both orgs to sign off on it.
MPK or Seattle?
