Hi, After phone screen interview with a facebook software engineer which last 45min. I got an email from recruiter saying this: "I have received the feedback. It would be great to have a quick catch up call to discuss." Do you think it is a reject email? Bests
looks to be a reject - but who knows. Most of the time the recruiter will just ask for times you're available for the follow-up interview.
Yeah. But thought normally we don't call after phone interview in case of reject but just after full round of onsite interviews where candidate invested time in hiring process and they don't want to end with a cold reject email.
I think it is an offer. They don't say it would be "great" to catch up for a reject message.
It is for sure next steps for phone screen or onsite
not for sure.
Well, what was the outcome?
Good sign. Or else, she will just send u a rejected email in 2 business days.
I would assume the recruiter wants to talk and schedule next steps (interviews) rarely do you see recruiters call to reject you (unless they are a recruitment agency)
I literally just got an email with similar verbiage (from a different company) after an initial phone interview... 🤔
In my case, was a rejection
I mean, there’s literally only one way to find out...

What do you think when you see 3yoe staff engineer
Should be some positive news. Usually they don’t bother to call if the news is unpleasant. Good luck!
Agree. They don’t bother emailing you back with bad feedback. No commission for them on your rejection.
majority of the phone calls I've gotten were rejections lol sometimes they were complicated rejections, as in, "sorry we ran out of headcount for your position"
