I haven’t done shit today!
Microsoft, Amazon and Facebook are known to PiP candidates a lot. How often does Apple/Google PiP engineers ? Asking out of curiosity as there aren't many data points on blind.
What is PiP?
Performance improvement plan/program. Basically a heads up saying you'll be soon asked to leave the company for performance reasons if you fail to blow our minds off in the next 6 months. It's possible to get out of PiP, but most people just quit the company
Microsoft PIP? You have to absolutely mess up at MSFT FB on the other hand fires left and right. Some don’t graduate from bootcamp and get axed lol
Could be. I'm just stating that we have a data point that says Microsoft pip/ir/zr exist. No such data points on Apple. And wow, didn't know it was that horrible at Fb !
Wait they have like an exam at the end of bootcamp? What do you mean by not graduate from bootcamp?
Apple has started to aggressively pip people. Watch out!
I am in amazon n saw its part of Amazon's culture to put developers or tester in Dev plan and Pip, many people suffer this, is this suffering is common in Google?
Google PIPs just as much as those other three, but from my experience it’s quite taboo to talk about anything related to it. It’s not a part of the google culture I guess. After all, no company will survive if it harbors under-performers. Except maybe Cisco or something
Or defense corporations. Or banks.
Does google really need top performers anymore? They dominate search and rake it billions for it. I highly doubt that’s going to be disrupted.
