Not that surprising since people started to get out of the house more. Still far greater than MAU in Q1 2020
In Q1 2020, US MAU alone was 90m so MAUs were actually higher in Q1 2020 since the Q1 2022 figure also includes Canada. https://s23.q4cdn.com/958601754/files/doc_financials/2020/q1/Q120-Earnings-Presentation.pdf
What do people use Pinterest for generally
No idea, cannot see applications for it
Fapping and fingerbanging, obvi!!!
2021Q1 is the peak of pandemic and peak of PINS MAU. So no surprise here. In fact, comparing to 2021Q4, we actually increase the MAU and projected to back to growth in Q3
Pins presumably lost users since 2021 Q4 too bc they had 86m users in the US alone then whereas now they have 94m across the US and Canada. If we assume 10% of users are in Canada then they have 84.5m users in the US now.
Hmm. Why don’t you assume it’s 20% to prove your hypothesis further? LOL 😂
I feel like the general crowd on blind (mostly male in tech) is not the target audience for Pinterest. Me as a girl actually feels like the current Pinterest product (with shopping and videos) is more entertaining than before
