Pivot severance and implications on acquisition by Amazon
So, I am leaving with the severance. But what happens If I join a startup that’s later acquired by Amazon? Will they fire me again? And if I don’t sign severance agreement and leave without it I am still ineligible for rehire at Amazon and affiliates. Does anyone have any info on this? Unable to decide what to do. The severance I am offered is upward of 30k #Amazon #google #startup
How long did you survive at Amazon? Were you L5?
6+ years. L6 non tech. Joined amazon as L4 in 2013. Ended up with new managers with reorgs and new managers want to protect their old buddies.

A little more than 3 months of base salary. Pretty standard from what I hear.

Yes tripled my comp with an offer from FB. Also have an offer from a startup that’s offering even more.
