Hey! Im looking to pivot out of IT Audit to Data Analytics anyone care to refer me?
Internally at KPMG or looking to leave? If you can even switch internally to lighthouse for D&A for only 6 months or so..it will set you up for BI roles in tech with much better TC.
To add on. I had a mentee (associate) did this and is at Amazon in BI role making more than managers at Big 4
Hey, can I ask what IT audit does? Is it checking this over a checklist or is it more interesting?
I’ll try and make it short Our auditors review company’s financial statements These financial statements data is housed in a quite few applications Whichever applications our audit team deems to have a significant impact on the financial statements We (IT audit) test the controls that are in place to mitigate the risk of possibility fraud or whatever on those applications So we look at the add and modifying of users on this application Who is an admin user and if they’re appropriate How long it takes for someone to be removed Can someone make a code change and also promote their code change to the production environment To me this is boring af I hope this helps Let me know if you have any questions
