Most places I’ve been getting interviews or offers are big companies with boring projects (SAP integration, CRM management tools). That was good for practice, but where can I find teams doing very ambitious tech work?
FAANG. Apply to a team doing interesting things, then ace your interview
Tesla
Most people at most companies aren’t really doing interesting work. There’s a lot of drudge work for every interesting new thing, and a lot of people only ever see the drudge work. Someone please convince me otherwise because I’m bored to death and always feel the same by one year into a new job. 😞
Work in a startup. But you will lose on your pay. A lot less drudge work
Yeah, I’ve been thinking that more and more lately. I’d be happy to take a cut in pay to do more interesting work.
Create an interesting product in your own company
I do that right now with all my free time ...but it would be awesome to work with passionate people
Theranos is very ambitious
