I currently work as a data scientist / IT infrastructure engineer / implementator. 10 Yoe. Only ever did gov contracting (TS/SCI w/ CI poly). Exp with Booz & Deloitte. Deployed to Afgh before. DC 9 yrs -> Hawaii 1 yr. - if I switch to private tech and move to SF (FAANG or similar is my goal), what kind of TC should I expect? - will answer any questions you have to clarify.
So if u r upto solving leet code and design questions. Ur previous experience won't matter as much. (it matters to the point of getting an interview not past that) U can find out expected salary by looking at levels.fyi. At that website how to guess ur level? Basically witha combination of YoE and how well u think u will do at the interview. And spending time on blind looking at other people's posts and TC and yoe etc. U can start by clarifying all the abbreviations u used. I don't know some of them. Also include ur current TC and location etc in ur post.
Thanks. TC: $127k. No stock/bonus. The acronyms are my security clearance level. Probably doesn't matter much except for a few tech companies like Amazon, Microsoft who might work with the Pentagon
Also matters for the new space companies.

^^^ this. Definitely going to want to revise your LinkedIn.
Do it asap! I have similar experience from time at Booz and Deloitte, work in the AI space. Doubled my TC with a move to tech and you are respected and appreciated WAY more for your technical chops at a tech company.

Where in Tech would you like to transition? Is this primarily a TC move? What's current TC?
I enjoy the intersection of DevOps and analysis. I know AWS and python/JS. I also have business acumen, but no PMP/MBA (worth it?) $127k TC. No bonus, no stock. Just base. Consulting be like that.
I know Hawaii is def not low CoL. But I also don't know about job market there. If I had a job in Hawaii I wouldn't leave too fast :). But either ways 127 for 10 YoE seems vvvvv low.
