Hi All
I received an offer from company A back in June 2019 and on having a conversation with HR they stated that the company policy is to file GC , 6 months after joining.I accepted the offer
Since my first extension was due with my current company later this year , we had to wait for that to go through befofe company A could begin filing my H1B transfer petition.
In this time frame , my recrutier changed and he recently told me that company Policy A has changed and they will file GC one year after joining and he asked me to confim with company immigration HR whether they will still do it in 6 months after i join.
My current company( where i am not keen to stick on to, for several reasons) is ready to file GC next month. Considering i have 3 years left on my H1B before max out period , how or what can i say or should i do and tell Company A and convince them to start filing my GC asap , and that i cant wait 6 months let alone one year and would like them to file my GC simulataneously along with the H1B trasnfer petition.
PLEASE Help !

If you really want to do GC, find a job that starts the process as soon as you join the company. Waiting for a year isn’t ideal... even 6 months. A lot of things can happen on the immigration front during that time.
GC is a lengthy process, the sooner, the better.
