Would anyone be willing to refer me for a non-tech position in the bay area? FWIW I’m a female, but I’m guessing that only applies as an advantage if I were going into eng? Basic resume overview of me: - Junior at Cal studying Economics, GPA 3.6 - Interned at Goldman Sachs in Sales & Trading (Securities Division) - techincals: Python, Excel I’m primarily interested in FP&A, but definitely more than open to doing other ‘business’ roles like supply chain, business/ops analyst type roles, sales/business devlopment. Thanks for any help and I sincerely appreciate all of your time. TL;DR please refer me to a nontech internship role (non hr or communications) Also, I don’t work for Postmates TC: negative 20k
why not just go to goldman and do s&t?

The tl;dr is I’m not about that life. I mostly want to be in a company with a product. You know, the joke from the show Silicon Valley where every company is ‘making the world a better place’. Whether that’s bs or not, I would imagine being a part of that is more fulfilling than moving money to make more money. There’s also having to get into the office at 6:30 A.M. 5 days a week, a non-negligible amount of people there that genuinely believe they are superior beings solely on the fact they work at Goldman, and it being a pretty dead-end job.
Tech pays more more than banking. Be realistic you're not going to be a BSD if you want wlb.
