150k base 10 % bonus 250k RSUs over 4 years TC: 227,5k 20 k sign on Current at fb: 142k base 10% bonus 55k in unvested RSUs over 3 years So TC is about 172k because I did not negotiate when joined, and my initial RSU grant was just 60k. I also in enterprise engineering( which is kinda traditional IT department), but may be able to switch to Production Engineering(fb’s synonym of SRE), where they have better equity refreshers, but that won’t fix my tiny initial rsu grant. Should I stay if I switch to PE for better experience and lower tc or should I go for 30% higher tc now? Also, recruiter is demanding answer by Monday, but I have pre-screen with google next Wednesday. UPD: 6 years of relevant experience, and 4 of less relevant
Take the LinkedIn one and get the good bump. With LinkedIn you can jump ship whenever. Switching internally at FB will mean you become an SRE, but the pay is low. Why not be an SRE at LinkedIn and keep the raise?
Well, good though! But isn’t LinkedIn SRE experience less prestigious than FB PE?
Don't keep you view so limited. SRE options at Airbnb, Uber, and Google are equally valuable and with better wlb. Why would you care about it FB production engineering so much? Is your transfer to FB production engineering finalized?
If you get an offer with DoorDash I guarantee a higher TC. Hit me up if you're interested

How hard are the SRE interviews compared to SWE?
One of my collegue joined linkedin as a SRE like week ago. offer is 500k RSU and 200 base. Not sure about signon. Position is Staff SRE
Are you offered senior SRE role or SRE?
This is top of the line SRE offer
LinkedIn. I would try negotiating a higher compensation.
