Hello, Blind'rs, Please validate my salary for Director - Cloud Development for the Finance Platform company in Silicon Valley. I have 18 years of experience in cloud technologies. I am moving after 10Years and want to land in the right compensation. 215K - Base 250K - Stock (Vested 4 years) What do you think?
Super Low. Irrespective of the company. Base is pretty good. Stock is pretty low.
Low, that’s my initial TC at Tesla in EM role 2 years ago, before it grew by 2x
Crap-tastic
Super low. What dogshit place is this?
Unless you are going to manage a team of 3 developers total and even then its super low. Any senior engineer in big company makes at least 300k tc
Just wondering how do u have 18 years in cloud technologies? Was cloud there for so long? No offense- am really curious!
The rest of the time his/her understanding of technologies was clouded
Director itself doesn’t mean it’s a big role - it’s a big role in amazon for sure , though I saw some principal eng get into google as director , so my impression is bad , fb also they are very selective overall , but don’t give director liberally - some companies like paypal give director role like software eng role - few years eng manager and then director . So the title doesn’t matter - it’s what you are doing matters and that info is not there - so I would say it’s probably higher salary for the role
People with 5 YOE at Facebook are making more than this. You should get more or keep looking.
Director roles can mean different things at different companies. Is there an expected yearly cash bonus?
