@intuit i m not saying all new grads should get h1bs. all i m saying is that with the increasing wages,opt students will not get a job. Companies will not want to hire someone knowing that they require sponsorship in the future. I am specifically talking about current students and new grads.. those who have already taken a loan and are now suffering.
I understand, wouldn't it be great if US graduates also get three years unrestricted work Authorization atleast in the same field, no fear of leaving country on losing job. And h1b can be based on merit. I understand it is hard on new grads, all this uncertainty
Did you know that dol who published this rule thought they could calculate 95%ile by taking mean of salaries from 90%ile to 100%ile. The number was so off the charts in SF, that they didn't even publish it. On that basic miscalculation grounds alone, courts will throw out this new rule.
Consider if dol had relied on educated h1bs, they wouldn't end up embarrassed like this.
