See a lot of hate on our Slack, some teams were told not to communicate with their Russian colleagues.

- What is US objective in supporting Ukraine & NATO?
- If Russian economy sucks, tech & science talent goes to US and EU. What else benefits the US/West?
- What are benefits to Russia becoming a self-reliant nation? We only see negative points through western media. Is this Russian MAGA?
Help Americans understand Russian sentiment and reality.
I compare the section of the US populace who buy into MAGA with the Russian nationalist demographic you suggest is dominant. Is that an unfair conclusion? Trump and friends essentially exploited social insecurities instead of tapping into historical Russian aggression & bloodlust you noted. But there are notable parallels.
There are distinctions too - American liberals are pacifists and value virtue signaling more than risking their own lives in an armed conflict. Russian and American conservatives are much more risk tolerant. Also, Putin respects a strong military response and despises weakness. In a sense, he views strong resolve as the equalizer in the military balance with the US (banking that Americans won't raise the stakes by themselves and will let him continue having the initiative). So far, the Biden's administration has behaved like a sheep in wolf's clothing, which could only provoke further and further acts of aggression. That was the basis of my remark about WW3. In order to tame a wolf, you need to be a wolfhound.
Imagine not communicating with other employees LMAO
