At what age do you plan to retire? By retire, I mean quit the full time rat race. Some might continue to freelance or teach a class or two at the local college. But no more “crushing it” for 40+ hrs a week for The Man.
Retirement is the number 1 killer. I'll "retire" at like 65 and do some super chill job 25 hours a week.
Ya not working at all is super bad for your mental health. At that point you are just waiting to die.
#1 killer of?????? To me, work stress is high on the killer list. Retirement for me will definitely mean working a chill part time job, but I plan to be there by 35/36. I’d die if I tried to do this shit til I’m 65...as many people do.
rn.
For me Age has surpassed TC so I'll probably never be able to retire. You big earners talking about retiring before 56 depress me. :(
They’re probably fooling themselves. Unless their plan is to cash out and retire in a poor low-cost country, retiring in the US costs serious money.
Disillusioned young'ins. In any case, each generation should improve upon the last. WWII generation had it tough!
