New to investing here, wanted to take opinions on my portfolio 15-20k cash for emergency (single, no mortgage or any serious expense other than rent) The rest go like this 40% Goog for long term (vested stocks, grants at 800, 1200) 20% etfs for mid term VTI, QQQ 20% Bonds 20% high risk day trading So far day trading made me the most money. 18% return in one month of day trading (but also because of my risk tolerance, still not a huge profit overall). I usually optimise around news to either short or go long based on my perception of the companies I target for example following the news, shorted BABA right before the crash. Aside from that and my goog grant, all other investment made me a little less than 5% in same month. I’m fairly new to investment so would like to hear opinions #personalfinance #investments Opinions?

How strict is the google RTO ?
What is your TC? 15-20k cash for emergency seems very low. Usually it’s 6 months of spending. Also, I see bonds but no cash account? does that mean you are not having cash available in case of crash to buy at low price? Finally, how much do you invest every month from your pay check to high risk and etfs? On an advisory note, it seems you are heavily positioned on Goog, more than 50% including paycheck, you might want to be careful on that level. I saw also the popular QQQ and VTI but not ARKK, any reason?
Thanks for the comment! Very insightful My TC is a little less than 300k at L4, not MTV 20k is more than enough for 6 months without risking my current lifestyle. As for cash account I usually have cash available (and I used it both when market crashed with new strain and again with PLTR crash post earnings) but not a big amount usually around 8-15k lying around. I pay around 40% into my investments, (first month to do so) As for goog, I’ve been wanting to get outside of goog but Tbh other than moving that money to etfs, idk whats a better use of it as its already making me good enough profit. I’ve been considering arkk as well but didn’t get the chance to do a proper study.
Wdyt of that
