I will also say from personal experience that you might want to target roles that are heavy on the strategic / maybe give you some product leadership. Strategic finance is generally a fancy word for FP&A and the type of work you’ll be doing is what some guy was doing three levels down from the CFOs that you’re probably used to communicating with.
To put it another way, strategic finance = back office; product = front office when you’re talking about tech companies.
