Talk to a lawyer. If you have h1-b you may join a consulting gig, to keep the visa alive and then transfer it to the company you want to work full time.

Thanks but not interested! This is not some joke. You should definitely try when you will be in the same situation.

I am in the same boat. Got laid off right before the holidays. Fortunately got couple of offers but, nothing interesting yet. Not sure if i have to take the risk and keep interviewing or take the offer i got. More 30 days until my grace period ends.

My friend from uptake was in the same situation as yours , fortunately he had 5 offers to choose from but he wasn’t sure to join in either of them, but in the end he had to take an offer cause visa transfer takes time and you should file the h1b transfer ASAP. I suggest file for multiple h1 transfers and keep giving interviews until you find the best one.

That being said, you'd accept more than one offer and wait for the H1b transfer outcome?? Is it fine to file multiple transfers? One of the employers suggested me to start as soon as they get a FedEx tracking of the transfer package.

Yes he accepted two offers and filed 2 transfers at the same time.

Dude, I'm in the same boat. Just started couting down my grace period of 60 days. Did you get any options?

Unrelated but does anyone know if a company that sponsors H1b will also sponsor greencard? i looked up myworkvisa.com and some companies sponsor H1B but have no greencards. Does that mean the employees are perpetually on H1B and they eventually have to leave for another company to get a greencard sponsorship?
