After an on-site for startup, is it better to let the hiring team take their time and conduct further on-sites with other candidates(it's for a single position), or tell them to decide quickly? Recruiter did mention I was a high potential candidate based on feedback from HM. Any strategies/insights appreciated in comments!

The only reason hiring team will take time to decide on your candidature is a sync meeting between all the interviewing panel where they discuss and agree on a decision based on everyone's inputs. Any normal company shouldn't take more than 2 weeks for it.
Any startup is much faster than that. Typically 2-3 working days waiting is enough. If you don't get a respond in that time frame then either you have been rejected (recruiters really avoid updating candidates) or the startup is not fast enough (read: higher chances of failure).
