Potential salesforce prod mgr interview
Hello wise friends at Blind! I may soon get an interview with Salesforce as a sr product mgr/tpm(security). Any tips on what to expect in the interview/tc? I am 13 YE , eng tech+product mix Very excited about joining this team! Appreciate your help! Update: I already have an offer from Morgan Stanley as tech prod mgr in NY and Schwab

Dude...I can’t comment on salesforce position but I was a prod mgr at Morgan in NYC a few years back. I’d caution you here, since MS is run by contractors and near impossible to get things done without consensus. Spend millions to figure out how to deploy features/transform and do nothing with it. Otherwise they have pretty good food at the 1 plaza location, also great prestige but products are not exciting. Schwab on the other hand is very aggressively hiring prod mgrs right now (in Austin specifically) and spending lots of money on all their digital properties (mobile + desktop trading tools). Personally, if you’re looking for something more engaging/rewarding I would do Schwab. Ps. My close friend works at salesforce and he loves it, but complains about pay ( not in a PM role).
Salesforce is a great place to be for PM. You get promoted to Director without really doing anything.
Thanks Fjp and pfq . Your comments help me a lot. About MS: yeah i got the sense but i love the team and location. I think i like that as a backpocket option Schwab: yes it seemed to be a good offer but I didn’t like the location and i knew the boss was a micromanager. Plus the role is like a tech lead , which i am trying to move away from Salesforce: Do you know what they ask in interview, i pretty much heard you got to make a presentation . What is it that they look for - more like real hard core exp or exp + personality matching with team?
I think if you watch some Dreamforce presentations of good presenters, it should give you an idea of what would be a perfect performance. Note: I'm an engineer and I've never been part of the loop for PM hires.

Go to trailhead and do the storytelling trails and follow the format. All salesforce presentations have a format for appropriate brainwashing.
Salesforce really is a shit company to work at. There’s way better cultures out there where you can grow. Salesforce really is a terrible place to work.
Wouldn't say that , it has its problems like any big company but there are far worse big companies in the valley
