Preparing to start a new role. Focus on political and social integration to new company.

I manage installation of automation and robotics systems in warehouses, mostly technical. I'm leaving Amazon and going to startup that has proven technology who is going public and starting to scale. I'm offering high scale deployment and process experience in exchange for more technical and young product exposure. And hopefully RSU 🚀
Typically I'm pretty quiet and all ears for the first month or two, take on some serious responsibility about 3 months in and reach expert proficiency a year in.
Any tips for what to focus on? Maybe in the political social realm? I would say I'm an excellent engineer but suck at sweet talking leadership and corporate culture hence why I had a bad time at Amazon.

Hmm yeah I loved the why part of when I joined Amazon. I always like learning how and why things came to be the way they are.
I think I will be less afraid of pip here. I love being helpful and teaching but I tend to be too direct and abrasive with bigger problems.
I'm totally going to be more engaged with my manager this time. Had a terrible relationship with my Amazon manager.
