Pride in your country is not wrong. Believing other countries are inferior is wrong. And that's what seems to be wrong with America. Americans are only taught how great only USA is. That is what led to Trump.
You must live in fantasy land. Here in reality all the other countries in the world are far inferior to America. Back then world was more tribal and we didn’t have nuclear bombs also. Because of science and technology advancement in last few decades we are globally more connected and dependent on each other.
Nationalism is a bit different when your country has been occupied by another country half a world away.
