Principal Architect Role At Disney
Just spoke to a recruiter with Walt Disney for a Principal Architect Role. I am bit not sure if its worth investing time interviewing for this position. 1. In terms of hierarchy how senior is the rule. Is it like a technical leadership role where you get an opportunity to make a real impact or it's just another senior engineer role? 2. What TC can I expect ? 3. How is the work culture at Walt Disney. How is WLB and the growth opportunities? 4. 3. An ex-colleague of mine (actually, the founder of the startup we were working at back then) worked at Disney for years. He told me it was his best work experience, mainly because of WLB. Why he left then? To have his own startup.

My partner was working at a company acquired by Disney. My advice is to look elsewhere. Not only does Disney not pay market rates it is well known for making US workers train their foreign replacements.
I would look at their ratings on here and that should make it pretty obvious if they're worth your time...
If ratings are anything to go by then Walt Disney has 3.5 and some of the FAANG companies have less rating than that. But I will take any FAANG over Disney any day !!! If someone can share the TC details for Walt Disney it would greatly help me in planning the discussions/conversations with Disney.
