Product Alliance reviews

Has anyone tried Product Alliance's courses? I have Facebook PM final round coming up and when I asked the recruiter how to best prep/study, she suggested reading Decode and Conquer and sent me a couple of Product Alliance Youtube videos links in addition to the FB provided in-house mock interview videos. I've already read Decode and Conquer and am thinking about completing the full Product Alliance given the recruiter linked some of their content. Has anyone taken the course? Is it worth the money?

I've took the Product Alliance course and found it really helpful, especially for the Facebook process. If you get their course bundle thing, if comes with a deep dive on Facebook's pm interview process specifically, including two pages of interview questions you are most likely to get asked. Almost all the leadership and drive questions and one of the product sense questions I got during my final round were listed on their study sheets.

Can’t you get the interview questions from online? There seems to be a comprehensive list. So what is the value you got from PA? Was it the list of questions and expectations or some way to do your answer?

@Yahoo, where do you get the questions online?
I am looking only for the recent questions (Google)? Will pay for those.

I took a chance and bought their Hacking the PM interview course and ended up practicing by answering the question first, then watching the Product Alliance instructor wreck me by showing me a very good answer lol, and then I would practice to reverse engineer it. The whiteboard walkthroughs and annotations to call out the mistakes/good things the candidates did helped me improve a lot.

I found Product Alliance's content pretty helpful. It's not a substitute for mock interviews by any means but seeing how different PMs approached various questions was definitely beneficial for me

I will not recommend Product Alliance's course. Very little value over the full mocks already available on Youtube. Most of the 'TryExponent' mocks on Youtube are pretty good.

I found Product Alliance to be a good value given its lifetime all access vs candor and Exponent which are subscriptions. Since I bought the course like 7 months ago, they have introduced multiple new courses and I've gotten free access to all of them. One thing I didn't like initially about Product Alliance was they had good mock interviews but the how to answer different question walk throughs were all text docs just like with Exponent. They have since introduced video walk throughs of how to answer each type of question rather than just have mocks with annotations and feedback. If you're a visual learner, product alliance is worth it imo. They do a great job keeping the content very fresh and adding new courses pretty regularly.

    • How much does their full course cost you? I see they have some promotion now, which slashes the rate by 75%. Is that just a marketing gimmick and they have it running all the time?
