Product Manager Leader Comp
Trying to decide how I’m doing and whether I should leave. I’m at Oath (Yahoo) based in the US. I lead a smallish team of 15 product Managers. TC $370k 18 yoe. If you count our 401k match (which is abnormally good) TC:~$390k Probably could get a gig at Amazon managing people. Probably get kicked down to IC at fb and goog. Some equivalent gig at tier 2 companies. What do you think? Can I get paid a lot more? Work life balance is good. I work 45 hours a week. Maybe 50 in a bad one.
What’s the TC breakdown of base and stock?
215 base. 95k stock. 60k bonus. 20k 401k match.
I wouldn’t count 401k matching as tc. Yes it does amount to extra money the company gives you but you won’t see it until way down the line.
You would need a high Sr. Manager Product Management (L7) offer at Amazon to beat that comp. Maybe not even then.
Hope, you were not part of Yahoo mail redesign. TC should be negative in that case. 18 years Yahoo ki canteen ka namak khaya hai,ab koi aur daal kaise galegi ?
15 PMs isn’t a small team ! Directors typically have 5-10 PMs under them here

Comp is low. It should be near 450k.
Comp for Director level seems good. I think the directors in Walmart are paid about the same
Comp is good for Director, you would need to get Sr. Director (unlikely) for a significant difference. But you are loosing on the stock growth. But that is a bet, not a sure thing...
