Asking for a friend who is expecting an offer for Sr. Product Manager position from Nvidia and doing interviews with some FANG as well. YOE: 10yrs (MS, but no MBA). Hiring department is under Marketing. My friend is mainly interested in knowing what's a typical range for Base salary and stocks every year.
Go to levels.fyi - you will find what you seek. yw
If you have SWE data points, discount it by 10-15% and you will get PM salary at same level, search other blind posts for SWE data.
Base: 160 - 190 Sign on: 40 - 60 (split over 1st and 2nd year) RSU: 100 unit per year
why so little RSU per year?
Shared this and my friend was surprised (expectation was higher). Just to clarify, this is not Program Manager (PM/TPM) role. Product Manager position is for the person looking at the product development from inception to end of life. The position also does market survey for future feature requests and competitive analysis.
Rofl, I know what a PM does, your friend’s offer might be different based on interview performance, competing offers, etc. I just shared some range that I know of. Please share here what your friend gets finally.
Btw, what level were you referring to for this range?

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
Is your friend pmm or pm? Comp varies a lot. Pm is much higher and typically same as devs at the same band.
