Working as Product Manager at Amazon is cutthroat and super intense. TC: 300K Any suggestions on companies with good Work Life Balance, No PIP, No layoff? #pm #product #productmanager @LinkedIn @Microsoft @IBM, @workday @Atlassian, @facebook @meta @Adobe @Salesforce @doordash @Pinterest @visa @Shopify, @HubSpot, @Uber, @Google, @Slack, @Intuit, @Reddit, @Twitter, @Square, @Roblox, @Zynga
No layoff is hard to predict. LinkedIn, Pinterest, salesforce, Adobe and most teams at eBay come to mind.
Microsoft
What is it like to work as Product Manager at Microsoft? How often are Product releases and code releases? Do product managers manage release plans? Any early morning meetings or late evening meetings with oversea stakeholders (e.g. team at India) Thanks.
OP, most of the things from your list will depend on specific org/product/team. I haven’t worked at Amazon, but based on what I see/read, you’ll get better WLB and flexibility at Microsoft. Feel free to DM if you need more info.
Workday wlb for PM Is great for sure but I’m waiting for an offer from AWS for L6 PM. Should I not make that move?
Dm me if you want a referral
Does workday layoff PM? What are tips for successful PM interviews at Workday?
Hi DMed you
Maybe LI
go into medicine: no layoffs, good wlb
Any evidence or more examples for this claim? I've been at AWS for under 6 months as a PMT and it doesn't feel very cutthroat or intense. I am inclined to believe you but I haven't experienced it yet.
Good for you
First 6 months aint bad. None realizes they are getting PIPed in the first year till they do. Dont wish the same for you, but just watch out.
Meta is pretty chill compared to Amazon (worked their previously and agree it is cutthroat, although there are pockets of actual nice teams) and has a much slower pace when comparing the two since things aren't quite as top down as they are at Amazon when working on projects

I’m gonna join in a couple of weeks and this is giving me anxiety. Can I dm you
