Hi all, I got a call from Chewy recruiting for product roles based in Boston. Can anyone working at Chewy share your experience? I am trying to see if it's worth pursuing. Thanks!
Have tobacco before the onsite so that you can be CHEWBACCA ๐

You to get work with lot of inexperienced folks and it's kind of in a transition state right now. Would be better if you want to make a difference also you might get yourself into middle of everything and can get overwhelming, one way or the other good culture and place to work at.

CEO is kick ass and chewy grows like crazy
It doesn't necessarily mean nepotism if both are working in the same org. Talking about cloud. There was a team which was here and had no idea what they were doing. That's again proves the point of handing the keys to kingdom where people doesn't have any idea on what they're doing. That Team doesn't exist anymore and things are looking way better than it was when old team was here

I'm interviewing as well. It seems like what Wayfair was before. But I'm hoping to be able to help spin it in another direction away from what Wayfair did. I liked most of the teams I've met so far.
Don't say we didn't warn you. Good luck have fun :)
It's gotta be better then Wayfair. It's a mess here.
Here's the real from someone that used to work there when the old CTO was still around. Chewy went from having a CTO that knew technology and actually shipped code very frequently, to a batshit crazy DBA turned CTO that couldn't write bash to save his life. Chewy used to have an engineering culture where we did dope shit and shipped software. Those days are long gone, a very large chunk of the talent left and the replacements are contractors without a clue. I still talk to a lot of people there and it's not getting any better. If you insist on going there, check out the mobile team as they have less bullshit to deal with. This is blind and people are going to be salty as fuck about the truth, hope this helps. Good luck have fun :)
Oh was there a such thing called engineering culture. All I hear it was a shit show every time when old โtalentโ was here lol
Yeah there was. How long you been there?
I interviewed there a few months ago. One of the interviews was with a product manager who clearly had a clue. Ultimately decided it wasn't for me. I got the feeling that your experience there will greatly depend on which team you're on
Run away.
