Product designer options: Meta, Flexport, Stripe, ServiceNow

Have opportunities to interview with each, what would your top choice be? I see many benefits for each. Any insights into culture and design teams appreciated TC: 277k #design #ui/ux

Could you also share your yoe?

Salesforce clippy! OP Jan 11, 2022

Sure, I’ve been working for 7 years

Meta breadloaff Jan 11, 2022

My last run interviewing I went through the full loop for Flexport and Meta. Flexport seemed pretty immature design wise compared to Meta. The comp also couldn’t stack up. Meta has quite the rep these days, but designing software here is truly a privilege in the amount of support + resources + opportunities available.

Meta breadloaff Jan 11, 2022

I had similar YOE

Salesforce clippy! OP Jan 11, 2022

I’ve heard Flexport has the potential do great work but never seems to make it happen. What team are you on at Meta?

Happy Money QaWb32 Jan 11, 2022

If you want a mature UX org then ServiceNow.

ServiceNow Rarmesan12 Jan 12, 2022

haha no

Happy Money QaWb32 Jan 12, 2022

Really?? I’ve heard such great things!

Flexport 5:1-1:5 Jan 13, 2022

Flexport is very cool, but it does come with more than a few frustrations. Also make sure you understand what we actually do and how we make money.

Move vjmkV46 Jan 16, 2022

What do you mean by the last two?

Flexport 5:1-1:5 Jan 16, 2022

Read about Flexport and see if you can make sense of what the company actually does and how it makes money. It’s not obvious, and lots of people don’t understand it—they just assume it’s revolutionizing logistics, but can’t explain how. More than happy to give you the rundown and details, but I’m very curious to see what your take on Flexport is first.

IMO, stay with Salesforce. Stripe interview process is reportedly very rigorous and the rest of those companies are trash.

Amazon error Jan 14, 2022

Can you elaborate on the Stripe interview process?

Do some research and you'll find the same as what I have and have heard from friends. Pending the role, there are up to 10 interviews.

Can I ask how you lined up these interviews? Did you do referrals or apply straight up?

Aon amazingux Jan 14, 2022

I had a recruiter reach out to me. I recently finished my final interviews. Hope to get an offer. 6yrs experience

Was it for a single company or the kind that finds multiple opportunities? Hoping you get the offer! Which co is it?

Could you elaborate on the design culture and work/life balance there? Would love to know more about them.
