What are the different career levels for the Product Manager role at Google and approx experience of the person at that level? For example - at Microsoft, someone fresh out of college would join at 59. With 1.5 to 2 years experience - 60. Also, there are certain level changes that result in a designation change. For example, 59 and 60, designation is same - Program Manager. But 61 and 62 - Program Manager II, 63 and 64 Sr. PM, and so on. Any such thing at Google? #Google #ProductManager
Look at https://www.levels.fyi/
And if you’re a PM at one of the listed places, PLEASE enter your compensation. Levels is a great idea but without data it’s worthless.
Just added my TC on levels. There is also tons more TC data on levels.
What is the TC for PM1 (at Google) and level 60 PM at Microsoft? Just interested in base + RSU

APM 1, APM2 - associate level, mostly for new grads directly joining to be groomed as PMs PM1 (L4) - entry level PM, 1-3 years experience or MBA PM2 (L5) - 4-7 YoE PM3 (L6) - 8-12 YoE Sr PM (L7) - Similar experience but as a manager / director / VP / founder
Any clue about compensation package for PM1 and PM2?
Google tends to place 10plus experience PMs to PM2 as safe guarding unless great team matching happens (then u get PM3/L6). Since u asked: PM2 expected base is 160k and 200k RSU as initial offer. This is open to negotiations. Once negotiated the TC at PM2 climbs to 300k. These numbers are current.
