I’ve been offered a promotion into a director of project management role. I looked up base salaries and I’m finding that $140k-$170k is average base pay for this role. My offer was $107k base and 12% annual bonus. I want to be sure my market research is accurate - what are the best sites for this? How do I negotiate this promotion? $107 seems super low.

Those “$140k-170K base” offers are in higher cost of living areas and mostly larger companies. Director at a small company is = to manager or senior manager at a large tech company where you’re quoting online offers from.
How many YOE do you have and what is your current comp? Either way you’re not going to get a lot of actionable advice on this site given most people work at FANG and live on the west coast.
Something like $125k total comp in Knoxville strikes me as probably pretty high.
