How do you all feel about this "The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) says that hospitals can share data with business partners without telling patients as long as the information is used “only to help the covered entity carry out its health-care functions.” https://www.macobserver.com/news/google-project-nightingale/
Where's I'm fine because whatever?
Right? So many worse things going on in the world and under our noses. This doesn’t make the top 100k
Not on the inside of this but willing to bet this is completely mis-reported. Queue announcement from Google or Ascension that they're just using Google Cloud...
As someone who works on an ascension site, yes this was completely mis-reported.
Don’t be evil 😂😂😂

If I see any pharmaceutical ads based on my health data, I will sue them. Plus, isn’t this how Baidu got in trouble? Ppl lost their lives because of the misleading pharmaceutical ads on Baidu.
This really does not help Google's image. Customers will trade privacy for convenience and here the customer didn't benefit. It's this type of behavior that creates animosity.
So basically a healthcare LexisNexis? What do you think this info will he used for?
