Promotion at early stage startups

Hi, I was told I was going to receive an offer from a startup of two years but with an already successful product. I can see that this company will be acquired by a big tech company soon. They will likely offer me a senior position which is kind of step down for me. As it is a hardware centric company moving towards offering a cloud based solution, they have hired a chief software guy and I will become their second software engineer. They have some software engineers in overseas office. Cash portion will be less than what I get now which is risky as I am paying a lot for mortgage. I am currently a tech lead. They will hire about 20 software engineers. Do I have a good chance to get better title soon etc? They are only two years old so no structure or whatsoever. Do early stage startups usually promote people quickly? They don’t have any one at higher level as they don’t have many engineers in US.

Tell them you want a better title. Done. Next question.
