I am being offered another opportunity in another financial institution with considerably higher pay but less flexibility on hours & working from home, and of course the job is a little more stressful (not sure how much more but def way higher than now). I know I am up for a promotion at YE, but even with that, I wouldn’t be making as much as the other position. I’m also afraid it won’t happen, but almost certain it will because of convos with manager (no appetite for mid year promotions, usually). Also worried about career progression after that promotion. C5/C6 roles are hard to come by @ PNC, it seems. Should I just say to hell with my current position and make the move?
Do it if the family can support an extra hour or two.
It’s more than an hour or two, though....it’s more like 20 hours a week...
OP, what did you decide ?
I decided on taking the other job, but now my current job wants to counter....
Cool. Whats the other company? Are you going to go back to PNC if they offer better?
