Got an azure global enterprise promises Senior PM (level 64) offer at MIcrosoft Redmond campus versus Meta Program manager in research operations (IC6) in Menlo Park. I’m wondering how long promotions at either company will take? I think the Meta offer is for more senior level (looking at levels.fyi) . #tech
Sounds like the reason for the difference in comp is the role. I dont think the two are comparable. Microsoft made you a PM offer. An IC6 product manager would make significantly more than what Microsoft offered. Lower on the payscale you'd find TPMs (technical program managers) in fb, and then a program manager (without the technical) is much further behind.
I completely agree here. I have a PM offer versus a PGM (non technical) and not trying to compare but more educate myself on promo and comp at both companies. How are the stock refreshes for IC6 in FB?

Ic6 is already a level or two above 64 at Microsoft. Also the pay at Microsoft is peanuts in comparison to meta.
Then Meta lowballed me because the Microsoft Seattle numbers blew away Meta offer... MS: base 205k, sign-on 150k paid over 2 years, 450k equity, target bonus 15% Meta: base 200k, sign-on 35k, 220k equity, target bonus 20% YOE: 12
That a high base for 64 PM That’s a great offer, MS really wants you
