Does Slack actually hire from their online postings?

A friend said he'd never heard of any engineers at Salesforce being hire from the online job board application process.

Found a job at Slack that looked like a good match for my experience and applied for it, but do people ever hear back? Anybody at Slack that actually made it in through an online application?

  • I applied to multiple jobs on Salesforce's portal and got interviewa then offers for all of them with 4 YoE + bachelor's. Highest one was $420k + 50k sign on, SMTS.

    • Salesforce doesn't have refreshers, and the HM tried to avoid giving me a straight answer on RTO vs full remote. Other companies gave me a higher title (eg Twitter Senior) with up to $440k before refreshers (refreshers between $100k to $120k expected), and more benefits.

      I caught the job posting super early, ended up being a long hire process because of it. But recruiter told me from the beginning it was 2mo out to expected start date cuz I was one of the first to interview. I didn't have any prestigious companies on my resume, but I did have some niche skills they needed.
