Thanks. That is helpful. Recruiter told me the technical IC roles are roughly divided into 5 levels MTS1 to MTS5. Is that right? So is level 5 the last/top level? What’s the path after MTS5?
Few make it past mts5 i personally only know a dozen
And I'm not sure MTS 1 is even real. Maybe for interns?
It is MTS2 to MTS5. Beyond that, there are technical leadership levels.
The equivalent titles after MTS5 is principal engineer, technical director etc

On sales side you can have around 230 OTE for Sales Engineer and I have seen up to 320 OTE as Account Exec. Don't know the exact bands however. Those don't include stocks and ESPP (15% discount and 2 year look back at Pure). Also benefit of working for a "good" company from employee treatment and moral standing perspective - Pure does a lot of charity and in terms of bringing good to the world (playgrounds, charitables, chances to help people, etc).
Pure’s technical path goes from new college grad level all the way to VP. I think there are 8 or 9 levels. First terminal level is just two levels above new college grad. That means these levels are wide and not many get promoted to the highest levels ever.
