Hi All, I get to hear that Intel in general (though team dependent) has a good work culture and WLB. Recently one of my friend's mentioned that few IP teams in Synopsys also have a good WLB. At present, as a senior engineer in Qualcomm, WLB is not that great and the general expectation is that you are available for work anytime between 10AM to 11PM. I have a few side interests, unrelated to work, that I would like to explore in the long run and the current stretched working hours will not help. Any suggestions on the companies that I should be aiming for in the future so that I get to spend a good amount of time on my passion apart from office work? P.s.: I am looking for frontend IP digital design roles in (Bangalore) India. Also, please feel free to share your thoughts/inputs if you have tired something similar. This would help all of us who are interested in exploring side interests. Thanks! #gig #sidejob #intel #synopsys #qualcomm #texasinstruments #nvidia #samsung #amd #arm #nokia #semiconductor
Side note, but it's "Intel" rather than "INTEL" :)
Noted :)
Qcom engineers in India work a lot! Most of the stuff that my team in SD didn’t like doing was sent overseas. And trust me we had so much mind-numbing work that we sent to engineers in Beijing and QIPL Hyd .
Yeah, that's true. Most of the work here is monotonous and doesn't require creative thinking. I wonder if it's the same in Intel India and Synopsys India too.
Come to intel ! You will enjoy. DM for referral
Thanks, good to know. Will DM you when I start looking for a job change.
I’m senior eng at Qualcomm and sounds like you just don’t know how to draw boundaries lol
Yeah, I am trying to get better.
Hey sometimes it’s not easy, you got this, do your best
