Planning to apply for a SDE I role at Amazon soon. I have been using Python in my current role and most well versed with it. I heard Amazon doesn't allow Python for Online Assessments, there is no option for Python. Only C++ and Java Location: Bangalore, India Current TC: 14LPA Is that true?
It’s allowed . Gave last month
Ask your recruiter to confirm .
C , C++, Java is so verbose, you would spend half of the time fixing syntax. Python is a must and it is there all the best. YOE??

One of the OAs involved a debugging test which only allowed C/C++/Java but it was pretty easy. I used python for all leetcode style questions in the OA and interviews and it was fine.

I review online assessments, and most of them are coded in Python. Since basically no one uses Python on the job, it's actually pretty annoying, but w/e do what works best for you.
People actually review those OAs? What do you even look for?
If they're not a clear fail or a clear pass (they do well on one question but not the other, or somewhat well on both) then it goes to manual review. The manual reviewer then checks if it was due to a minor issue and if everything else looked good. Then the reviewer decides to reject or approve it from there.
