Have an offer from FB as an IC PM. Also interviewing with Amazon for L7 Sr Manager role managing a team. Initial comp aside, what are the pros and cons of these two companies? Specifically...
1) Which one is faster in terms of getting promoted/growing career?
2) Which one ends up with better TC over time (refreshers, raises)?
3) WLB? I hear it's pretty tough with both companies.
4) Obviously FB has better food/perks etc. Other pros and cons?

For L7 the scope is a huge difference not just the number of people even though I know few L7s in Amazon who manage close to 100 people. L7s in Amazon manage a very large product (think of AWS elastic beanstalk as example) while in Google it's usually just managers of managers and it comes with natural growth. I'm not coming to bash any company I'm just saying if you're looking for scope I will highly recommend Amazon over Google.
You cannot get that scope as L6 IC at FB. Been there done that.
Don’t think short term, think of what sets you up for your growth longer term. An L7 Sr Manager of PMT went to a multi billion dollar company as a VP.
