Software Engineering Internship: Return To NVIDIA or Go To Amazon
I currently have 2 internship offers, and I'm not sure which is the better option for me (based on my main goal of trying to break into companies like, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Uber, Lyft, etc - more details below).
Option 1:
- Return to NVIDIA (Software Engineering Intern)
- I previously interned at NVIDIA during the Winter2021 term, and really enjoyed by work term, while learning a lot.
- I received a return offer from a different team at NVIDIA
Option 2:
- Go to Amazon (Software Development Intern)
NVIDIA
Pros:
- I think NVIDIA holds more brand name than Amazon
- NVIDIA is a company that I'm considering returning to fulltime, so trying out a new team might be a good idea
- NVIDIA is a company that I'm considering returning to for fulltime (I've already received a fulltime offer from my old team)
Cons:
- Doesn't add another big name to my resume
- I've already interned at NVIDIA (although a different team), and maybe I should try out a different company
- I've already received a fulltime offer from my old team
Amazon:
Pros:
- Adds another big name to my resume
Cons:
- Amazon internship doesn't seem to add much value to a resume, because it's so easy to get
- Amazon isn't a company that I want to return fulltime to (after hearing the pip stories on blind)
Overall, (apart from learning and gaining good experience), my goal is to use my experience from either NVIDIA or Amazon to break into companies like, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Uber, Lyft, etc, for an internship and/or a fulltime job.
Ultimately, I'm asking which option adds more brand name to my resume, Amazon + NVIDIA vs 2x NVIDIA. I've had difficulty with resume screening in the past (can't get interviews), so I really want to maximize my probability of getting an interview.

While I was there, I really wished I had some experience somewhere else because that was the only name on my resume and it was hard to get out.
U should just add more names and try more things. Also, more networking.
