I heard they messed up so badly Musk is shutting down SpaceX Redmond.

    They fired them last week - a lot of them were ex Microsoft from a failed group called WPI. I think musk just had enough

      Not an insider but the Redmond factory I believe was for satellites, and based on Glenn Shotwell's recent interview sounds like that specific effort has been doomed for a little while now

    Well, the axed managers were deeply invested in some Microsoft's "best" practices - keeping teams in isolation, overcomplicating solutions in the name of job security, sweeping problems under the rug, etc.

    When a company is experiencing problems it's usually the employees that got laid of but SpaceX is different.
