Currently working at a large asset management firm as a Senior Software Engineer. Getting an offer from Amazon (Ads org) and Citadel reached out for data engg role. Is it worth considering Citadel and going through the whole interview process ? How is their data engg org and engineering org overall ? Joined current role about 6 months ago, pretty satisfied with the job so far with decent wlb.

    people here are giving advice with the assumption that you won’t thrive in such an environment. My previous employer is big tech was much less satisfying than citadel

  • I haven’t spoken to Citadel, but I’m a DE, I applied for DE roles at the big quant firms, and the DE roles at quant firms are really just SWEs.

    • I don’t actually know. DEs at most companies (LinkedIn, google) are leetcode easy/medium. For quant firms, they were hards
