Serious question here.. trying to get some outside perspective.

Does anyone out there like the new BMW X7, X5 or the concept 4 kidney grill?

If yes then why?

  • What matters is how the car handles. Looks are for other people. Drive something that wakes you up every morning.

      That is very true I have taken these cars on a track and treat the highway as my track at times and these cars can do 70 on at 25mph rated ramp and not move an inch.. the control is amazing.. I just don't like the new outside design direction.

      @KM78 that is very surprising but you know waht it might be on preference. 3 is marketed to mass market and the handling is more polished and comfortable. The 8 is more of a sports car to is edgy and rougher but still comfortable. It will same as 3 vs 4 it is tuned for different audience. I personally like the rougher sports car but it's all personal preference.

    • I personally drive a 4 with m sport package, so I definataly appreciate an edgy and more stiff ride. Also in that back to back comparison the 3 I drove was the m340i which is definataly more on the sporty side. I don't quite remember the exact model of the 8 I drove unfortunately. I think generally the handling of the 3 is better simply because it's smaller and therefore feels more nimble and agile in curves. The 8 is simply speaking too big to compete with that. That's the same reason why many BMW enthusiasts think the M2 is the most fun ride these days.

      The acceleration and engine sound in the 8 was of another league, but in a place like California you can't drive thaaat fast anyways.

    Nope, the grill was cool in the 80s, great cars, very serviceable. Today? Swap the emblems with a Honda and no one notices the difference (except when they break)
